My Morning Prayer (Romans 12)

by Pastor Sharron
March 28, 2011

I have been asked by several people to write this so others could use it. Here is my version of what Romans 12 asks us to do. Please make it your own.

Good morning, Daddy God! Good morning, Jesus, my dearest friend! Good morning, Holy Spirit, my companion! Here I am, Lord. I surrender to you my mind; please help me to think with your wisdom and knowledge. Here are my eyes; help me to see the world and other people as you see them. Here are my ears; help me to be as good a listener as you are! And help me to better hear your voice. Here is my mouth, Lord. Holy Spirit, guard it from negativity and destructive words. Help me to speak your wisdom and authority to others. Give me many opportunities to praise you with this mouth today! Here are my arms, Lord. Bring me someone who needs a shoulder, or a hug today. Here are my hands, Lord. Help me to do your work. Send me someone who needs a pat on the back. Here is my back, Lord. Keep me upright in posture and countenance. Here is my heart, Lord...bruised and broken as it is. Purify my heart to be like yours, Lord. Break it and mold it, that it may never become calloused to the needs of others. Here are my legs, Lord. Help me to stand firm on your promises, and lead others. Here are my feet, Lord. Help me to always walk on the path you have paved for me and never stray. I love you, Father God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit. What can I do for you today? Amen!
