Read the following questions carefully through. Answer each one SPECIFICALLY. If you are not sure how to answer, or you have no answer, that's fine. Skip that one and go on to the next. Note: It took me over 2 years to answer these questions. When I was giving the first workshop, at the very last meeting, we reviewed question #10. I realized at that time I still had not answered it! The strange thing is, when I looked around the room I had my answer. And now I am helping others do the same. If the answer comes easily to you, I respectfully suggest you PENCIL it in, and go back at a later date and see if it still seems correct.
Our Associate and Worship Pastor, Star Bakas, discovered her calling by working these questions.
- What is the desire of my heart? (What do I long to see more than anything?)
- What stirs my passion? (What makes my heart pound, my pulse race, my body tremble?)
- What gifts, anointings and talents flow naturally through me? (What do I do with little effort that others find difficult to do?)
- Do I seek the counsel of mature Christians? Who are they? Why?
- What is the witness of the Holy Spirit in my spirit? When do I have supernatural peace?
- What do other mature Christians see in me?
- What career or ministry (specifically) do I feel the peace of God about pursuing?
- What thoughts, visions or dreams are impossible to put out of my mind?
- To what can I give 100% of myself for my whole life? Even without pay?
- What do people want to gather around me and help me accomplish?
I added the following to the original 10 questions:
Who can
I count on to help me walk in my calling? List the names here, and
then ask them to help you. These are people you trust to be 100%
honest with you, and who will hold you accountable. People who see
who you are and will help show you the road you don’t yet see.
What is
the first step I will take in moving toward my calling within the
next two days?
